Everything leaves a mark. How to erase it.

Everything leaves a mark. How to erase it.

Stain removal is a delicate art, with each type of stain requiring a targeted approach. Here at Koala Eco, we recognise that a one-size-fits-all approach isn’t always the best way forward, which is why we’ve created a tightly curated selection of laundry products comprising stain removal and maintenance formulas.

Most stain removal products employ a combination of chemical reactions to lift, dissolve, emulsify, or digest the stain, while others (such as chlorine-based bleach) work to whiten rather than remove marks.

Our core laundry care range comprises our Natural Laundry Wash in three different esesntial oil blends. All products combine botanical essential oils with several types of eco enzymes. These enzymes — amylase, lipase, pectate lyase, protease, and mannanase — work in tandem with the properties of pure botanical essential oils to ensure your garments are thoroughly cleansed and gently scented.

Why five types of enzymes? Each plant-based enzyme targets a different type of stain, meaning it’s essential to include all of them to ensure our laundry products address a wide array of common causes of stains, soils, and odous.

Our Natural Laundry wash (available in lemon scented eucalyptus & rosemary, rosalina or mandarin & peppermint) is well suited to most fabrics and is safe for those with sensitive or eczema-prone skin.

Also part of our laundry range are products designed with targeted stain removal in mind. Both our Oxygenated Bleach and our Laundry Stain Spray are fragrance free, and harness the potent cleaning benefits of hydrogen peroxide to remove stains. Free from harsh chemicals like chlorine, they represent a safe yet effective alternative to conventional bleach. The hydrogen peroxide in both these products is an oxidising agent, working to break apart the chemical bonds in stain molecules. Oxidisers can break apart a long coloured molecule, making it easier to lift off (i.e. by washing afterwards).

Best suited for deep-set stains and heavily soiled garments, our Oxygenated Bleach is colour-safe on dye-stable clothing. Its ultra-concentrated nature means that just 30ml in 4L of water is all it takes to soak your stained and soiled clothing. For best results, leave clothes submerged for at least eight hours before washing with our Natural Laundry Wash.

For spills and stains that occur in the moment, our Laundry Stain Spray should be the first port of call. Simply spray directly onto the affected area and let it sit for 10 minutes before machine- or hand-washing.
