As we begin 2025, we send warmest best wishes from everyone at Koala Eco to you all, along with our hope that the 12 months ahead will be as smooth and untroubled as possible for all of us.
Aptly, the United Nations has declared 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, inviting the international community ‘to resolve conflicts through inclusive dialogue and negotiation’ in order to build ‘sustainable peace, solidarity and harmony,’ and it’s hard to think of a more worthy resolution for which to aim.
2025 is also the Year of the Snake. While many people in Western cultures fear these amazing creatures and use the term ‘snake’ to characterise someone as untrustworthy or treacherous, in the East Asian zodiac the snake symbolises elegance, wisdom, and transformation. Known for its intuition and resilience, the snake represents rebirth and encourages deep thinking and personal growth.
Here's hoping the New Year brings all the positives of peace, trust, intuition and transformation. May we all be able to think deeply about how we want our world to be, what our personal and collective growth towards better things might look like. Perhaps we just need to start with kindness: to ourselves and to others.
We wish you a truly happy and peaceful beginning to the New Year.
