Pre-soaking is the key to refreshing and restoring your clothing

Pre-soaking is the key to refreshing and restoring your clothing

Whether it’s from kid’s sports, cooking mishaps, or garden work, some clothing stains are inevitable. Fortunately, a little extra attention can restore even the most heavily soiled clothing to its original state. When it comes to removing deep-set laundry stains, a little patience goes a long way.

Harnessing the power of hydrogen peroxide, our Oxygenated Bleach is a potent concentrate, free from chlorine, that acts as an effective alternative to conventional bleach products. Its potent nature means it’s well suited to use on machine-washable, dye-stable fabrics, however very delicate fabrics like silk, satin, cashmere, lace, and leather should be avoided.

To eliminate stains, add 30ml of Oxygenated Bleachto 4 litres of lukewarm water in a bucket and soak your clothes for at least eight hours (or overnight). Then, machine wash on your normal wash cycle using our Natural Laundry Liquid before hanging garments to dry in the sun.

If possible, addressing stains as they happen is often the best path forward; the less time a stain has to soak in, the easier it is to remove. Keep our Laundry Stain Spray on hand — should any errant red wine or coffee make its way onto your clothing, remove the garment and spray the affected area. Leave for ten minutes before machine washing. Like our Oxygenated Bleach, it’s safe for use on machine-washable, dye-stable fabrics, but should be avoided on very delicate materials.
