An eye for detail, a feel for the wild

An eye for detail, a feel for the wild

Amy Komorowski is one of the most sought after men's groomers in the beauty industry, with a client list including actors Adam Driver, Austin Butler, Bradley Cooper, and Jacob Elordi. With her eye for detail and her ‘no one should know you were groomed’ approach, Amy keeps Hollywood’s leading men camera and red-carpet ready, primed for close-ups on the covers of magazines like GQ, Esquire, Vogue, W, and L'Officiel Hommes. When she's not busy perfecting her clients’ appearance Amy’s at home with her husband and son Rafi, and making the most of the opportunity to get out into nature:

What’s your favorite thing to do in nature?

For me there is nothing more grounding or calming than a long walk through the trees and breathing in the crisp fall air. It’s something I’ve done since I was a young girl and one of the reasons I moved out of a big city.

Fondest memories of spending time in nature?

Walking through the creek that ran through my neighbourhood. My friends and I would walk for miles just exploring, feeling the mossy rocks on our feet and maybe even coming across a small waterfall.

Favorite natural scent?

Something earthy and warm, like frankincense or sandalwood. I also love the smell of a fireplace, wood burning.

Many of us are time-poor and might not get out into nature as much as we’d like. Any suggestions for a quick nature-based pick-me-up? Something sensory, experiential...?

I like to bring nature into my home by adding a few plants, branches and or some kind of natural long grass or eucalyptus. Fresh flowers only last a few days so I like to incorporate things that last a bit longer and even look beautiful once they have dried.
